Parsley Box calls on retirees

As supermarkets warn of empty shelves, Parsley Box plans ahead.

Edinburgh, 12 August, 2021: According to press speculation the Government has the Army on standby to deliver supplies to supermarkets as the ‘pingdemic’ forces thousands of workers into self-isolation.

We’re inviting the over 60s to step out of retirement to help pack food orders for their contemporaries to meet any gaps in supermarket supply just as we did when Covid first struck and people struggled to get food.

Kevin Dorren, CEO of Parsley Box, says: “The supermarkets are warning of food shortages and we want to plan ahead.

“The generation of customers we serve have pulled this country through tough times with grit and grace and we’re calling on their indomitable spirit and can-do attitude.”

Our Edinburgh-based team is recruiting a Ready-meal Army of order pickers and packers to ensure supply as people plan ahead in the case of potential empty supermarket shelves.
