At Parsley Box we love looking after our customers and finding ways to go the extra mile. We want to share our passion for good food by creating tasty and convenient meals, and giving you plenty of great choices.
Our Product Development team, headed up by experienced ready-meal guru Cassandra Suddes, has been busy behind the scenes and we are delighted to finally share with you what they’ve been up to.
We are proud to introduce a brand new range of elevated quality, cupboard-stored meals. These meals are all made using the same Parsley Box pressure-cooking method; allowing them to be stored in the cupboard for up to six months and heated through in the microwave in a matter of minutes.
As Cassandra attests:
“We want our meals to be the absolute best they can be. Our goal is to create tasty dishes that bring you the wonderful flavours of traditional home-cooking.
“In our new range we’ve hand-picked the best ingredients to create truly delicious results, giving our existing meals a full flavour makeover and developing a vibrant array of brand new dishes and desserts.”
As a result of the elevated quality ingredients incorporated into our new meals, some dishes have seen a small price increase.
As well as tasting great, we also want to make sure our ingredients tick all the right boxes in other important ways. All our meals are made here in the UK, without exception. We are also proud to say we are committed to buying British and actively supporting local producers wherever possible.
Our chicken, pork, milk and cream are all British. Our beef is British and Irish and we source as much of our lamb as we can in Britain; allowing for seasonal changes when, for example, we’ll import top quality lamb from New Zealand.
We are proud to support more responsible ingredient choices that reflect our values. All our fish is sustainably sourced and we have a longer term commitment to remove palm oil from our meals and to only use free-range egg in all our products.
We’ve revamped all our recipes and developed a number of brand new dishes to appeal to a range of tastes – with more being announced later in the year.
Here’s a sample:
Tapping into authentic Spanish flavours, this stew features succulent chicken thighs with chorizo sausage, red bell pepper, butterbeans, red onions, cream sherry and a dash of paprika – a true taste of the Med.
We’ve given our popular fish pie a flavour boost, with generous chunks of sustainably sourced pollock and smoked haddock in a creamy cheddar cheese and mustard sauce, topped with buttery mashed potato.
A rich and creamy soup made with chestnut mushrooms, onions and brown rice with British double cream, seasoned with a hint of garlic and tarragon. Vegetarian friendly and with immense depth of flavour, this soup is just perfect to warm you up on a cold winter’s day.
It’s not just our main meals that we’ve reviewed – we’re introducing two additional puddings on our menu and also giving new life to two classics. There’s nothing quite like a light, moist and buttery sponge to finish a meal. Baked with ground almonds, and topped with a gorgeous, sticky cherry sauce, our new Cherry and Almond pud is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
