4 classic cocktail refreshers

Well the weather has improved and we’re allowed to have our friends over again. Time to for a celebration! Why not impress your guests with a classic cocktail or two?

Time to dig out the cocktail shaker and fancy glassware and make sure you are well stocked up on ice – we’ve got four delicious classic cocktail recipes just for you.

(Each recipe is for a single cocktail)

Cosmopolitan

The ‘Cosmo’ is the quintessential refreshing cocktail. Fruity and flavourful it is the favoured cocktail of the women in Sex and the City. Here’s what you’ll need to wow your friends with a delicious Cosmopolitan.

50ml Vodka

15ml Triple Sec/Cointreau 

15ml Lime Juice

50ml Cranberry Juice

Orange – for garnish (optional)


Pre chill a martini glass with ice.

Pour ingredients into the cocktail shaker, top with ice and shake well.

Remove ice from martini glass and double strain cocktail into glass.

Garnish with an orange twist or lime wheel

Sidecar Fizz

A twist on the classic Sidecar cocktail, the Sidecar Fizz can be made without need for a cocktail shaker. Simply build in the glass and top with sparkling champagne for a simple and effective aperitif.

25ml Brandy

15ml Triple Sec/Cointreau

15ml Lemon Juice

Champagne 


Pour all ingredients into a flute glass and top with chilled champagne.

Garnish with lemon zest.

Tequila Slammer

Contrary to what the name might suggest, this cocktail is intended to be sipped and enjoyed.

A wonderfully refreshing tequila beverage with the added fizz of champagne makes for a delicious drink that will have your guests soon asking for refills!

50ml Tequila

50ml Lime Juice

Champagne 


Pre chill a tall glass with ice.

Pour all ingredients (except champagne) into the cocktail shaker, top with ice and shake well.

Single strain into the tall glass over ice.

Top with chilled champagne.

Garnish with a lime wheel.

Piña Colada

The ultimate holiday cocktail! A piña colada is like a wonderful alcoholic tropical smoothie.

Perfect for a warm day in the garden.

60ml White Rum

120ml Tropical Fruit/Pineapple Juice

50ml Coconut Milk

Pineapple wedge (for garnish – optional)


Pre chill a tall glass with ice.

Pour all ingredients into the cocktail shaker, top with ice and shake well.

Single strain into the tall glass over ice.

Garnish with a pineapple wedge and paper umbrella for the full cheesy holiday vibe!
